Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as aspirin, naproxen, ibuprofen, ketonal) should be avoided 10 days prior to surgery.
If you are taking blood-thinning medication, you should consult your GP about your intention to perform the procedure and consider discontinuing them in the perioperative period.
If you are susceptible to herpes consider prophylactic use of an antiviral drug such as acyclovir before surgery.
Avoid drinking alcohol on the day of surgery
Do not apply cosmetics to the injected area for 48 hours.
