Laser vascular treatment is usually not very painful, although the sensations during the treatment are individual. Patients most often describe it as a slight burning or pinching sensation, comparable to shooting a rubber band on the skin.

For added comfort, prior to treatment local anaesthesia may be used in the form of a cream. After treatment, mild redness or swelling is possible, which quickly subsides.
