Telogenetic alopecia This is one of the most common causes of excessive hair loss, which can affect both women and men. It occurs as a result of a disruption to the natural hair growth cycle – a larger number of hair follicles prematurely enter the resting phase (telogen), which, after a few months, leads to increased hair loss.
For development telogen effluvium Various factors may play a role, including severe stress, past infections, hormonal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, rapid weight loss, as well as certain medical conditions and medication.
Symptoms most commonly include an increased amount of hair left on the brush, whilst washing, or on clothing. In many cases, the problem is temporary; however, identifying the cause of excessive hair loss allows the appropriate course of action to be chosen.
Treatment of alopecia The treatment of telogen effluvium depends on the underlying cause and may include measures aimed at improving the condition of the scalp, addressing any nutritional deficiencies and supporting the normal hair growth cycle.
